How does cloud storage file syncing work in Naro?

Updated over 2 months ago

If you connect your Google Drive or SharePoint to Naro, the platform will automatically keep your files in sync and notify you of changes.

Individual files

  • When you connect a single file from your cloud storage, Naro will automatically ingest it.

  • Anytime that file is updated in Google Drive or SharePoint, you’ll receive a notification in your Review Flow that an update is available.

  • To sync the new version, simply click the sync button — the latest version will replace the previous one in Naro.

Folders

  • When you connect an entire folder, all content inside that folder is automatically added to Naro.

  • New files added to the connected folder are automatically synced into Naro.

  • Updated files trigger a notification in your Review Flow, allowing you to click sync to bring in the latest version.

  • Deleted files in your cloud folder will also create a Review Flow notification letting you know that the file no longer exists in cloud storage, so you can decide whether to remove it from Naro.

Persistence and deletion

  • If you delete a file from Naro but it still exists in your cloud storage, Naro will not re-import it automatically. This prevents deleted files from returning unless you manually reconnect them.

This syncing workflow ensures that your libraries stay organized and up to date without duplicating or losing important files.
