How do I create a collection?

Updated over a month ago

There are two ways to start creating a collection in Naro:

Option 1: From the Collections tab

  1. Navigate to the Collections tab in the left-hand menu.

  2. Click Create.
This will provide setup instructions and redirect you to the library view (it defaults to the Shareable Library).

Option 2: From filtered content in a Library (recommended)

  1. Go to your Shareable or Internal Library.

  2. Apply filters to narrow down the content you want to include (e.g., by tag, type, or keyword).

  3. If you are an Admin or Content Manager, a blueCreate Collection button will appear next to the filter icon once filters are active.

  4. Click Create Collection to begin setup.

Collection setup fields:

When creating your collection, you’ll be asked to define:

  • Name: The title of the collection.

  • Description: A short explanation of what the collection is for.

  • Image: Upload an optional image that appears when the collection is pinned to the home screen.

  • End Date (optional): Use this for temporary collections (e.g., Q1 Launch Materials or H1 Customer Stories). When the end date passes, the collection automatically expires.

  • No End Date: Choose this for ongoing or permanent collections.

Review stage:

Before creating the collection, you’ll see a review summary that shows:

  • How many pieces of content will be included.

  • How many will be excluded because they are private.

Private content cannot be added to a collection because collections are inherently shared across the company.

You can:

  • Go back to your filters and make private items public to include them.

  • Or create the collection as-is — once you update sharing settings later, any content that meets your filters will automatically appear in your collection.
